          6 September 2015:  Dr.Pichet Durongkaveroj, Minister of Science and Technology visits Narathiwat province to examine the geo-informatics and space technology and innovation application for local communities under the implementation in solving problems project on people’s land overlapped with Budo Hill-Sungnai Padee National Park.  Mr.Nattapong Sirichana, Narathiwat Governor, Dr.Anond Snidvongs, Executive Director of Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISDA), Asst.Prof.Dr.Piya Kittavorn, Deputy Secretary of Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC), folk intellects and community leaders welcome minister at Bacho district office, Narathiwat.

            Minister says that the government emphasizes to apply science, technology and innovation to solve local and community problems. Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) by GISDA is assigned to be the center for examining and integrating the data to manage the people’s land in Budo Hill-Sungnai Padee National Park by joint operation among Narathiwat province, SBPAC, Protected Areas Regional Office 3 Pattani, Department of National Parks, Budo land network and villagers to analyze photo maps of national forest and national park areas and also maps of villagers in order to search for conclusion, the difference of national forest and villagers’ land.

            “ I will discuss with Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and Ministry of Interior focus on 4 measures: 1.People should participate 2.To set up measures for reverting the right correctly 3.Community can conserve sustainable natural resources 4.Every sectors should use the same data” Dr.Pichet mentions.

            Dr.Anond says that GISDA is the central agency, not stakeholder on land management. GISDA has the accurate and acceptable satellite photography technology and also is the agency assigned by government to integrate the application of the satellite and remote sensing data which can help to revert people’s right fairly. GISDA compares the boundary map, set by central sector according to cabinet resolution on 30 June B.E.2541 and the boundary map, set by integrated operation among districts, provinces and villagers in the area according to cabinet resolution on 14 October B.E.2551. It found that maps are quite similar, only 10% different from all areas of 23 sub-districts and 9 districts of Narathiwat, Yala and Pattani.

            While Narathiwat Governor says thankfully for MOST to help Narathiwat continuously 5 main tasks : 1.Assistance for coastal erosion problem by GISDA and Hydro and Agro Informatics Institute since 2009.   2 .Assistance for data on Hot spot areas and forest fire on national forest and protected areas   3. Assistance for water management in case of instant flood and disaster warning system  4. Protection and suppression deforestation invasion by GISDA map application as indicator to the problem areas and lastly is the problem to set boundary area of Budo Hill-Sungnai-Padee.

            Additionally, Minister and Narathiwat Governor consult to enlarge the success of science, technology and innovation application to upgrade people’s living and working for example technology for preserved durian production and packaging, rambutan, budu sauce, rubber product processing and Halal food. Minister is pleased to coordinate with the universities in the areas, Regional Science Park and Clinic Technology of MOST.

20 August 2015: Dr.Pichet Durongkaveroj, Minister of Science and Technology presides over the opening ceremony “Workshop on Science and Technology Cooperation among Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), The Thailand Research Fund (TRF) and Chinese Academy of Science (CAS)” at Mandarin Hotel-Managed by Center Point, Bangkok. The objective is to propel science and technology cooperation between Thai agencies and CAS and to be platform for knowledge and experiences exchange between scientists and experts of both countries emphasized on the excellence for Bio-diversity. It is honor to have Prof Suthipun Jitpimolmad, President of TRF and Dr.Yaping Zhang, Vice President of CAS to give welcoming address for all participants.

          18 August 2015, General Prayuth Chan-Ocha, Prime Minister presides over “Medical Innovation of Thailand” products from medical innovation concept. Prof.Dr.Yongyuth Yuthavong, Deputy Prime Minister gives report speech and Prof.Rajata Rajatanavin, Minister of Public Health gives welcoming speech. Dr.Pichet Durongkaveroj, Minister of Science and Technology and Dr.Thaweesak Koanatakool, President of National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) participate this event.  Medical Innovation of Thailand is organized by cooperation among Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), NSTDA and National Health Security Office at Hall 9, Impact Forum, Muangthong Thani, Nontaburi Province.

          Prime Minister says that” Medical Innovation of Thailand” is the first time meeting among Thai innovators, investors, medical and health supporting agencies to increase opportunity of business matching, to drive national development potential, to support research budget not less than 1% of GDP and to increase  proportion of government-support sector per private sector 30:70. It also support to establish Thai Medical Innovation List and to create government innovation market to be commercialized and drive Thailand to be ASEAN Medical and Health Center.  Additionally, national innovation system is the important concept to develop national potential and links to other systems for example the macroeconomics system, educational system, information technology and communication infrastructure and also market situation of products and production factors. Government’s policies emphasize on the extended research and innovation creation, applied to modern production and services.

          In this matter, General Prayuth assigns MOST and Ministry of Public Health to search and operate the rubber utilization, including to produce medical instruments for household uses for the out-patients because of the high expenses of the in-patients.

          Prof.Dr. Yongyuth says that the objective of this event is the meeting among innovators and medical and health innovation user which make the creative and applicable results, reduce import products, promote people to access health need and make Thailand to be ASEAN Medical and Health Center in the future. The target groups attend not less than 3,000 people from advanced registration which can be divided into 4 groups: 1.innovative inventors both private and government sectors and academic institutes    2.medical innovation users both government and private hospitals and health centers of local administration  3.government sectors and agencies concerned with medical and health support innovation  4.people interested.

          Prof.Rajata says that Medical Innovation of Thailand today is in more advance with products from Thai inventors’ capability but it has not integrated among inventors, government agencies, investors, private sectors, users’ requirement and systematic government promotion. This event is an important step to stimulate and to promote the opportunity to meet and exchange opinions between every sectors concerned and create inspiration for new inventors.  Dr.Rajata hopes that this event is beneficial for the country to build human resources, create innovation which promote the advanced economy served the objectives to organize this event and drive to good quality of health and life for everyone which is the main objective to develop the country to stability, prosperity and sustainability.

          Medical Innovation of Thailand is held during 18-20 August 2015 and shows 1,000 innovation results produced by Thai inventors and attended by more than 3,000 participants. The outstanding innovation for instance house for the elderly, operation robot system, Dinsow Mini(robot hospital care for the elderly), robot for autistic teaching and nano-ambulance, etc.

When private sectors increase R&D and science, technology and innovation work so it is essential to have enough manpower. Therefore, Talent Mobility Program will be most beneficial for business, industrial and service sectors to develop the production process and innovation which lead to national economic development and drive Thailand from middle-income country to high-income and developed country.

            Korn Kaen Governor says that this program, organized today, is like Talent Mobility Open House to increase competitive capability of northeastern private sectors and to be platform for potential performance of R&D on science, technology and innovation personnel in universities and research institutes. It is honor to have Minister to preside this event and to give special speech in the topic, “Talent Mobility, the important step to increase competitive capability of private sectors and Action Plan on National Science, Technology and Innovation Development”.  It has many interesting activities, not only researchers’ sharing experiences on joint-working with industrial sectors but also matching cooperation between science, technology and innovation personnel and private sectors including research results display from Korn Kaen University, ready to extend for business and also shopping innovation products with reasonable price.

            Prof.Dr.Supachai Pathumnakul, Vice President of Korn Kaen University as Director of Northeastern Science Park mentions that this fair today has the objective to build awareness on Talent Mobility Program and mechanism to support science, technology and innovation personnel mobility from universities and government research institutes to work in order to increase competitive capability in private sectors. This fair has the exhibition of the Northeastern Talent Mobility Clearing House and successful research results of R&D cooperation between the academic institutes and entrepreneurs and also the extensible research results of academic institutes in industrial sectors.

            Prof.Dr.Supachai , also says,” Talent Mobility Program of Korn Kaen University cooperates with MOST to propel lecturers and researchers to work with private sectors. In this matter, the university’s regulation are formulated to serve the researchers’ benefits. To work with private sectors while they feel the same as working in universities. This program makes cooperation between universities and private sectors more intensive.”
