30 November 2015, Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj, Ministry of Science and Technology and his team has visited a site of using ST for water management at Saladin Community, Mahasawas Subdistrict, Putthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province. By  Hydro and Agro Informatics Institute, MOST has supported the application of science and technology for water management using local participatory approach. This case study has been very successful with integrated methods. Certain techniques include using satellite data and GPS to undertake set field observation and set up systematic water management plan to rehabilitate canals and regulate their flow to solve flood and pollution problems and control water quality. Weather forecast and water gages have been installed and automatically operated. At present, water quality of the community has been improved with systematic flow. This is a successful case of using science and technology for water resource management and the techniques will be applied to other communities.
