Special Speech ”Thailand Competitiveness Conference 2015” : Private sectors appreciate “Dr.Pichet” to relieve the complicated problems through innovation creation which increases more double profit.

         Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) supports Prime Minister’s policy to elevate capability of competitiveness as national agenda, leaded by private sectors and supported by government.  Dr.Pichet durongkaveroj relieves the complicated problems through innovation creation which increases more double profit according to Prime Minister’s policy. It emphasizes on human resources development, innovation and technology application and create mechanism to regulate efficiently and develop gradually in long term.

           Dr.Pichet Durongkaveroj says that to educate people in social and economic aspects is essential for sustainability on increasing Thailand competitiveness capability. For instance, the joint operation between MOST by Hydro and Agro Informatics Institution with people in Lim-thong village, Burirum province to solve flood and drought problems since more than 40 years ago. Now, the villagers build reservoir with the roads which become canal waterway after raining, apply satellite map and formulate water resources management plan by themselves and also make the household account for economic aspect.

          Additionally, government emphasizes on knowledge and technology transfer for private sectors, providing privileges for R&D investment private sectors, setting effective Thai Government Procurement, creating Thai Innovation Lists, preparing to enact for initiating new entrepreneurs, accessing innovation fund, supporting technology for SME’s and providing database system to private sectors for testing and standard assurance by integrating operation among 10 ministries.
