          Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) organizes “Auto Parts Technology Day 2015” during 27-28 May 2015 at Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani. This event  supports auto industrial entrepreneurs and connect them to access services conveniently.

          Dr.Pichet Durongkaveroj, Minister of Science and Technology says that the auto and auto parts industries are one of the important industries which government emphasizes. Not only strengthening industry by Eco Car Project, Phase II, but also next step, the government hopes to stimulate electric cars’ production and development in Thailand.

          General Prayuth Chan-Ocha, Prime Minister assigns MOST by National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) representatives to jointly work with Ministry of Industry and Board of Investment including ministries concerned in order to drive auto development enhancing Thailand to be center for electric auto production in the future. The auto industries make income 100,000 million baht per year. The proportion in value of domestic industrial product about 10%, more than 100,000 employment and more than 3,000 entrepreneurs and factories.  In 2014, Thailand was the 12th world’s ranking to be auto production/assemble and the biggest one in ASEAN. The production base and entrepreneurs’ network are strengthened and gradually expanded. Therefore, the entrepreneurs must be supported especially Thai auto part producers must be gradually strengthened the capacity of productive technology in order to be ready for competition in price, quality and time to delivery and to increase design capability and auto part development to promote potential for world competition.

          Auto Parts Technology Day is organized by cooperating with 10 supported agencies from government and private sectors. This event shows auto and parts innovation technology of bachelor’s degree students from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and Ladkrabang for instance “Student F1 or Student Formula”, the latest car which bring to compete abroad. Additionally, research results which can extend development by researchers from NSTDA for example modified electric car, transport and intelligent traffic system, 3 Dimension printing to create prototype and the last result for commercialization for example electric clean energy pallet, electric car and bus of BYD Electronic(International) Co.Ltd.   BYD is the leader company of world innovation battery of China. Loxley company imports electric car for experimental test-drive now.
