“Eye of the Sky”

Presenting the contribution of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research to the ASEAN – EU Year of Science, Technology & Innovation (YoSTI2012). The touring exhibition illustrates through impressive satellite images of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) how natural landscapes on earth are transformed by human activity at fast pace. The organizers, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with the NationalScienceMuseum would be honored by your presence at the opening ceremony of this digital satellite picture exhibition.

The exhibition illustrates landscapes on both continents through impressive satellite images of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). It aims to expose the significance of scholarly research to a wider public. “Eye of the Sky” shows the rapid transformation of the planet's natural landscapes by human activity. The digital satellite images depict regions in which joint European and South-East Asian research projects have been carried out, thus highlighting the significance as well as the range and depth of scientific cooperation between EU and ASEAN.

The exhibition will be open to the public from December 4th, 2012 until January 31st, 2013 (Monday – Sunday: 10.30 a.m. – 7.30 p.m.) at the National Science Museum (NSM Science Square, 4F Chamchuri Square Building, Bangkok, MRT Sam Yan).
